Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CS2.you collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use the site, sign in with Steam, claim a profile, browse public profiles, favorite items, follow users, refresh inventories, or use admin and discovery features.

CS2.you is a CS2 inventory showcase, profile, discovery, and database service. Much of the information displayed by the service comes from public Steam profile and inventory data, user-submitted profile edits, and stored inventory snapshots.

By using CS2.you, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

When you sign in, CS2.you uses Steam OpenID to identify your Steam account. We receive or store your SteamID64 and may display your Steam profile name and avatar.

CS2.you does not ask for, receive, or store your Steam password, Steam Guard code, Steam session cookies, Steam trade confirmations, or Steam login credentials.

If your Steam profile or CS2 inventory is public, CS2.you may collect and store public inventory and profile data, including item names, market hash names, asset IDs, class IDs, instance IDs, inspect links, image URLs, rarity, wear, float values, paint seeds, stickers, charms, StatTrak status, Souvenir status, collection data, and related metadata.

You may provide profile edits such as display name, bio, location, profile visibility, custom URL, banner item, featured items, favorites, collections, follows, settings choices, and other profile customization.

Admins may provide SteamIDs for imports, profile badge choices, profile notes, moderation actions, or queue actions. These records may be stored with timestamps and basic audit details.

If you contact support, we may receive your SteamID64, message content, contact information you choose to provide, and any details needed to investigate the request.

CS2.you may automatically collect technical information such as IP address, user agent, request path, request time, response time, session identifiers, rate-limit activity, error logs, security events, and basic device or browser information.

This information is used to operate the service, diagnose bugs, monitor performance, prevent abuse, protect Steam and third-party request limits, investigate security issues, and keep the site reliable.

Server logs and operational records may be kept separately from public profile data and may be retained for security, debugging, abuse prevention, and legal compliance.

CS2.you uses cookies and session storage to keep you signed in, protect forms, remember authenticated sessions, and maintain basic site security.

Session cookies may be stored in your browser and linked to server-side session records. In production, sessions may be stored in Postgres so login sessions survive server restarts.

You can clear cookies in your browser, but doing so may sign you out or break authenticated features until you sign in again.

CS2.you uses information to provide public profile pages, inventory showcases, favorites, follows, featured items, searchable database pages, float rankings, home page sections, admin tools, queue systems, and profile discovery.

We use stored inventory and attachment data to reduce repeated Steam requests, keep pages fast, avoid unnecessary rate-limit pressure, calculate rankings, preserve favorite snapshots, and render public pages even when Steam is temporarily unavailable.

We use operational data to secure the service, detect abuse, enforce rate limits, debug errors, improve performance, run migrations and retention cleanup, and understand what data coverage the database has.

Profile pages, claimed badges, unclaimed badges, pro badges, profile names, avatars, custom URLs, bios, featured items, favorites, follows, and inventory snapshots may be visible publicly depending on profile visibility and site features.

Public Steam inventory data may be indexed before a user claims a profile. Unclaimed profiles are based on public or submitted data and do not mean the Steam account owner has signed in.

Changing Steam privacy settings may stop future syncs, but it may not immediately remove data that was already collected from public sources, stored in snapshots, shown in favorites, cached, logged, ranked, or backed up.

CS2.you may queue Steam profile lookups, inventory syncs, admin imports, and discovery scans to collect or refresh public profile and inventory data at controlled intervals.

Queue records may include SteamIDs, source labels, status, timestamps, next-run times, completion details, errors, and limited metadata explaining why a profile was queued.

These systems are designed to avoid duplicate work, reduce Steam request load, protect against rate limits, and let admins understand what is being processed.

CS2.you may create derived records from public inventory data, including normalized skin definitions, attachment definitions, item attachment rows, float rankings, high-float and low-float ranking groups, collection counts, wear breakdowns, weapon statistics, and other database summaries.

Derived records may remain after a profile changes because they help power aggregate database features, historical calculations, deduplication, maintenance, and site performance.

Rankings and statistics are based on data available to CS2.you and may be incomplete, stale, or recalculated over time.

If CS2.you offers paid subscriptions or premium features, payment checkout, taxes, invoices, receipts, refunds, subscription management, fraud screening, and billing support may be handled by a third-party Merchant of Record or payment processor such as Paddle.

CS2.you does not store full card numbers, card security codes, or bank credentials. We may store billing-related identifiers such as provider name, customer ID, subscription ID, plan, subscription status, renewal period, cancellation status, and webhook timestamps so we can provision or revoke premium access.

Billing providers process payment and tax information under their own terms and privacy policies. You should review their policies before purchasing.

CS2.you may interact with Steam, Valve-hosted resources, image CDNs, CS2-related data sources, hosting providers, GitHub, infrastructure tools, monitoring tools, and other third-party services needed to operate the site.

When your browser loads external images, avatars, item images, fonts, or other third-party resources, those third parties may receive technical information such as your IP address, user agent, and referrer according to their own policies.

CS2.you may use third-party APIs or data sources for discovery, item metadata, pricing, listing context, checkout, subscription billing, taxes, fraud prevention, customer portal access, or support now or in the future. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

CS2.you may share or display information publicly when it is part of a public profile, public inventory page, database result, ranking, favorite, follow count, badge, or other public site feature.

We may share information with service providers that host, store, secure, deploy, monitor, or help operate CS2.you, but only as needed for those services.

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, security investigation, abuse response, rights protection, emergency, merger, sale, or transfer of the service.

CS2.you does not sell your Steam login credentials because we never receive them.

CS2.you does not currently sell personal information to data brokers or run targeted advertising based on sensitive personal information.

If advertising, analytics, paid features, or marketplace integrations are added later, this Privacy Policy should be updated to describe those changes.

CS2.you keeps profile records, inventory records, favorites, follows, rankings, session records, admin audit logs, queue records, and operational logs for as long as needed to provide the service, protect the site, debug issues, comply with obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain database quality.

Some data may be cleaned, trimmed, deduplicated, archived, compacted, or deleted through maintenance jobs. Other data may remain longer in backups, logs, ranking tables, snapshots, favorites, or aggregate records.

Removal from public display does not always mean immediate deletion from backups, logs, audit trails, security records, or derived aggregate data.

You can edit profile fields, choose profile visibility, manage featured items, manage favorites, adjust eligible custom URLs, and refresh your own inventory subject to site limits.

You can make your Steam inventory private through Steam. This may prevent future CS2.you inventory refreshes, but previously stored public data may still need a support request for removal from CS2.you public pages.

You can sign out, clear cookies, or stop using CS2.you at any time.

If you want to access, correct, hide, remove, or ask questions about a CS2.you profile, use the support page and include your SteamID64 plus a clear description of the request.

For claimed profiles, CS2.you may require you to sign in with the matching Steam account before making account-level changes.

Some requests may be limited by security needs, abuse prevention, legal obligations, backup retention, public-interest database integrity, or data that is no longer reasonably linked to one person.

CS2.you uses practical technical and organizational measures such as HTTPS, secure session settings, CSRF protection, rate limits, security headers, database-backed sessions in production, deployment controls, and admin audit records.

No website or database is perfectly secure. You should use a secure Steam account, protect your devices, and be careful with external links, trades, API keys, and messages from other users.

If you believe you found a security issue, report it through support with enough detail to investigate safely.

CS2.you is not directed to children under 13 and is intended for users old enough to use Steam and CS2-related services under applicable rules.

If you believe a child provided personal information to CS2.you, contact support so the issue can be reviewed.

CS2.you is operated from the United States or by infrastructure chosen by the site operator. If you access the service from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where service providers operate.

Privacy rights may vary depending on where you live. CS2.you will review reasonable privacy requests submitted through support.

Some browsers send Do Not Track or similar signals. CS2.you does not currently respond to every browser-level tracking signal because there is no single consistent industry standard for them.

You can use browser controls, cookie clearing, and Steam privacy settings to limit some data collection or public display.

CS2.you may update this Privacy Policy as the site, infrastructure, legal requirements, or features change.

The Last updated date shows when the policy was last changed. Continued use of CS2.you after an update means you accept the updated policy.

For privacy questions, profile removal, correction requests, account support, or security reports, use the CS2.you support page or email support@cs2.you and include your SteamID64 plus a clear description of the request.
